Inlaid Neapolitan Bridge : �Marazini�

    This is a hand-made replacement inlaid bridge and tensioner, in ebony or rosewood, with brass saddle, and inlaid with mother of pearl. It is designed to fit old bowlback Neapolitan mandolins, and is based on an existing bridge on a Marazini bowlback.

   It is 140mm long, 15-18mm tall before fitting, and 5-6mm wide. The brass saddle is approximately 50-55mm long and so would be ideal for wider fingerboards. It will suit required bridge heights of 6-10mm. depending on the curve of the top.

   Tensioner is approximately 52mm long, 10mm wide and 4mm thick. Screw holes can be drilled and countersunk to customers instructions, normally 20-25mm centre to centre.

   It will need to be fitted, but comes with a slightly curved foot, to begin fitting to the domed Neapolitan top. The bridge can be supplied without the tensioner if required.

   String slots can be cut if requested, but I will need to know required spread of strings.
