Neapolitan Bridge : ‘Stridente’

    This is a hand-made replacement bridge in ebony or rosewood and bone, to fit old bowlback Neapolitan mandolins, and is based on an existing bridge on an Stridente bowlback.

   It is 120mm long, 12-15mm tall before fitting, and 5-8mm wide. The bone saddle is approximately 50mm long. It will suit required bridge heights of 4-10mm.

   It will need to be fitted, but comes with a slightly curved foot, to begin fitting to the domed Neapolitan top. 

   String slots can be cut if requested, but I will need to know required spread of strings and the gauges to be used.
