There seem to have been several members of the Ferrari family building instruments, at the end of the 19th century, including Ermenegildo Ferrari and Giuseppe Ferrari. Ermenegildo seems to be one of the most significant, but many other instruments are labelled 'Fratelli Ferrari' (Ferrari Brothers). Some are very ornate, whilst others are very plain, and some quite poorly made... perhaps for the mass export market.
