Bowlback Bridge : ‘Canted’ (Compensated)

    This is a hand-made replacement compensated bridge in ebony or rosewood, to fit old bowlback mandolins, and is based on an existing bridge on an German concert bowlback with a canted fingerboard.

   It is 110mm long, 20mm tall before fitting, and 6mm wide. It will suit required bridge heights at the 'e' string of 5-10mm (depending on curvature) on a canted fingerboard.

   It will need to be fitted, but comes with a slightly curved foot, to begin fitting to the domed Neapolitan top. 

   String slots can be varied if requested, but I will need to know required spread of strings and gauges to be used. Otherwise they are cut to a spread of 38mm.
