Old, large-bodied, French flat-back

This is an old, French flatback, from the early 20th century with a fairly long scale length, and a narrow fingerboard. It is in good condition after restoration. It has a label which says...

This instrument is now fully restored. The top is sound with NO repairs. It has a single piece, stained and domed maple back. It has the original fingerboard. The tuners are originals, the bridge and tail new. It has been completely refinished with shellac and tru-oil varnish. The top which has been refinished in Tru-oil. It has been restrung with light GHS bronze wound classical strings, and is now playing well with a strong bright sound, good volume, easy action and fairly good sustain.

Other than cleaning, I have repaired as follows… 1) repaired 1 shrinkage cracks in the back; 2) re-varnished entirely with shellac and tru-oil varnish; 3) replaced some missing edging; 4) made and fitted a new bone nut and rosewood and brass shelf bridge; 5) fitted a new tailpiece; and 6) restrung and set up.
